Calculations
This section contains calculations of the number of neutron stars required for NS-Capture, along with other relevant calculations.
- Calculation the Number of NS’s required for NS-Capture to work.
(Calculate the number of NS’s that must be in Milky Way Galaxy. It’s a big number, but assuming NS-Capture is true, then they must be there.) - Calculation showing X-ray Binary will result in SuperNova Explosion.
(By calculating what the x-ray pulsar does to its companion, we are left with a SuperNova Remnant. Thus, we discover the cause of the SNE.) - Calculation of the Impact Parameter.
(Following the prescription provided by Bhattacharya and Van den Heuval (1991), we calculate the parameters for NS-Capture (page by Conor Shayne Smith).)
