Giant Stars and NS-Capture
Theory

Many of the supernova explosions are associated with giant stars. In fact, giants and supergiants probably make up 50% of the binary systems where one member is known to be a compact neutron star.
The reason for this is easily explained by the NS-capture theory. It is because the giants have more mass and are more likely to be hit by a passing neutron star. i.e. they are bigger targets and easier to hit.The NS-Creation theory has no similar explanation for the prevalence of giants as the remnants of supernova explosions.
